SERVING TO CHANGE OUR  WORLD TOGETHER...ONE BODY AT A TIME

Our mission is to improve the physical, spiritual and emotional condition of people at home and around the world to encourage equity, hope and unconditional love.

HELP US HELP OKLAHOMA

The monster storm hit the Oklahoma City suburbs leveling homes, businesses and schools in Moore. At least 24 people were killed, including nine children. Entire neighborhoods are in ruins. The funnel cloud was seen for miles, creating a debris field several miles wide. Houses are reduced to debris piles, and cars and trucks are strewn along roadsides.

We must respond.  Will you join us?

Tentative dates for this important work are July 3 - July 7.  We need people who are ready and willing to go; to be the light in a distressed community - to clean up, to comfort, and to distribute basic necessities. You can offer hope and assist in restoration for local victims, families, and children.  Meals and sleeping quarters will be provided. Local volunteers are also welcome. Volunteers need to bring an air mattress or cot, sleeping bag or sheets, towels, and personal hygiene items.

If you can join us let us know today.   If you can only serve for a portion of the time please let us know that as well. You will need to cover your air travel plus $100 for ground travel and supplemental food.  Click here to participate

  Serving the Favelas of Brazil

Six mission participants from the West Coast will join ten others from around the country to travel to Rio de Janeiro this July to serve the families living in favelas in Brazil.  Favelas are known as shanty towns on the outskirts of the city and are subject to extreme poverty.  Our work will focus on the children who despite the challenges that exist around them  are innocent and seek to have an opportunity to love and be loved.  Our daily prayer walks will be combined with art projects, delivering hygiene products and preparing a vacation bible school for the young and old.

If you would like to donate to support projects in the favelas know that every dollar makes a difference.  Donate Today

Art, school and hygiene products are also greatly appreciated.  To make arrangements for drop off or pick up call 206-288-3548.

"Positive Art Does Wonders for the Heart" is the slogan used by one of the mission participants Fine Artist Eric D. Salisbury.  By providing art supplies and the opportunity to create smiles, vibrant colors and scenes of hope, the goal is to encourage the children to look forward to tomorrow despite the challenges they still face in the orphanages and community today.
