Power of Missions

O1B  partners with mission organizations throughout the world to provide manpower and resources to support communities in need.  We seek to engage young and old with a specific interest in targeting young adults to join us to begin to discover what is in store for their life.  For each trip we offer a limited number of scholarships for young adults who demonstrate a passion for service, financial need and are willing to share their trip plans and ultimately their trip experience with their family, friends and community.  There is a limited number of spaces available for each mission trip and deadlines are approaching so follow the link to reserve your space today.

The earthquake of January 2010 left many Haitians homeless and children without families.  The orphanages have grown in number and need.  We will return to Haiti for our second mission trip to continue to live and serve in the community.  Our service includes visiting local orphanages, tent cities and prayer walks.  For those who want to continue the spiritual journey some mission participants will stay an extra weekend to attend service at a local church and witness the fruits of our labor.

Los Angeles

O1B will partner with the Los Angeles Dream Center an organization founded in 1994 that has developed community based programs to meet people where they are, to bring them hope and a way off the streets through mobile hunger relief and medical programs, residential rehabilitation programs for teens and adults, a shelter for victims of human trafficking, a transitional shelter for homeless families, foster care interventions, job skills training, life skills counseling, basic education, Bible studies and more. We will spend one week to help where the spirit leads and end the week at a Los Angeles attraction yet to be determined for our group to spend time together reflecting on our experience and growing in faith, joy and love.

In partnership with Adventures in Missions, O1B we will travel to Rio de Janeiro to feed the hungry and bring them hope as we spend time reaching out to connect in the barrios where they live. We will help rebuild the houses that have been destroyed by the annual monsoons and will set aside time to get outdoors and enjoy a taste of what Brazil has to offer; kayaking, rafting, trekking, snorkeling, surfing and visiting white sand beaches.

New York City

Travel with us to NYC where we will stay at a church in Manhattan, venture to Brooklyn and Harlem for cultural exchange, evangelism and community service. Our days will be full of learning and serving with excursions to Central Park, Times Square and the 911 Memorial. Each day we will extend our experience at local restaurants to support local businesses and set the stage for dialogue. This is a trip of sincere ministry through cultural immersion.
